1) Tension and Suspense
Narrative, use of Micro Elements-
manipulation of information
2) Relevance
The fears explored by the audience have to be relevant to the audience themselves- to have to believe the things shown
3) Unrealism
We have to know its not real- we have to feel safe at the same level
